Making a Gingerbread House

Yay! The gingerbread house was made by two elves today.
The elves did a wonderful job.

Mr. Elf was a pro at putting icicles on the house. Miss Elf was in charge of placing the candy on the house, as well as doing some supervisory work!

Mr. Elf did a great job with the roof as well.
The elves had fun.
A pretty gingerbread house for Christmas. Then Miss Elf went to pick up her cousins from school and then off to the nursing home to work some more. Thank you Mr. and Miss Elf for making me happy by putting the house together. However, a small Elf was left behind to look out the window.....Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year dear friends!!

That definitely is a very sharp gingerbread house. The contractors did a great job.

Poor Buddy. Left behind, but in his holiday regalia just the same.

What a fun post, Cheryl! I love all the photos. They did a great job with the gingerbread house. That littlest elf has the most adorable collar.

Aunt Jean: Did'nt the contractors do a bang-up job? And at no-charge to their client! Just the keys to the Jeep. Sigh. Poor Bud, he gets left behind alot by Ashton but his parents take him alot. I think the collar is so him.

Betsy: Yes, the little elves did a good job, just might entice them for other projects. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Kay: This is another memory for me to "tuck away", Ashton working on the gingerbread house! And yes, BuddyTheElf's collar is perfect for him. He was named after the character in "Elf"!

Wenn: Hi Wenn! Merry, Merry and Happy, Happy to you too!

Lucy the Cat: Yes, I was fortunate that these elves were agreeable to putting the house together. Ah, BuddyTheElf prides himself on looking dapper for the holiday! Merry Christmas!

Reanaclaire: Yes, the house is edible. According to the package it serves 65 and has no cholestral! I don't know as if we will eat it though, I imagine its quite hard. One can eat the candies though! Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I remember making gingerbread houses out of graham crackers with my sons-they ate more than they decorated but it was fun

The elves did a fabulous job!!! I'm betting the eating was good too.

Lin Floyd: I would imagine a graham cracker house would be a lot tastier than this hard gingerbread one! The memory of making one with your sons is the sweetest part!

Margaret: Nope, the elves didn't eat any of it, Miss Elf sampled some of the packaged frosting but thats it, Mother Elf got the leftover candies though!

How wonderful that you had two elves to do the construction of the gingerbread house. It looks like they did a wonderful job. Has Buddy-the-Elf seen the video you posted the other day? It looks as if he's looking out the window for Santa!
Merry Christmas to you and your entire family.

This reminds me of last year when my brother attempted to put together a gingerbread house and failed :( My kids were speechless and they were more shocked when my brother told them to eat the "house". I had to tell them tha it was ok and that I was going to buy a new one for them to start over tomorrow. We didn't make our gingerbread house this year because of last year. Your two little elves did a wonderful job!

George: Sure lucky that Santa lent me a couple of elves to put together the gingerbread house. I do think Buddy was probably looking to see if Santa was nearby.

Rose Belle: I was beginning to wonder if the house would ever be put together!

Dora: Glad you liked our "house"!

lancelonie: Glad you stopped by. My daughter wanted to know when we were going to start eating the gingerbread house, now that Christmas is over! I don't think I will try it.

tugce: Thanks! The kids had fun putting it together and its a nice Christmas tradition.

housewife9988: How nice to meet you! Thanks for the comments.
