In between snow storms...

Tonight and tomorrow we are going to receive more snow, up to half a foot or so here on the coast. I figured I would get out and enjoy what is already on the ground this afternoon. These are my snowshoes in action. I actually have pink snowshoes so I am always in style! This photo is for my friend Dez.
Here is the little pond I have taken many photos of. This afternoon it had skim ice on its surface except where the little dam is. After I took the photo I realized that the clouds were reflected in the open water.
Me and reflections! I liked the look of the trees reflected in the water. The water was so still.
Here is my faithful partner in whatever I am doing. We snowshoed down the power line behind our house and then around the edge of the marsh behind the house. The marsh was beginning to freeze in several spots. A sure sign winter is here!
This photo was taken the morning after our first snowstorm. The bird feeders soon were uncovered and open for meals!
Whew. I got my scarf done just in the nick of time. I have knit a red scarf the past two years for this wonderful organization's The Red Scarf Project. It sure feels great to know that a college student somewhere will have a warm, handknit scarf on Valentine's Day.

Hi Cheryl, WOW---you got the snow--and obviously are getting MORE. I'm so envious!!! You'll have to post lots of pictures.

The scarf is gorgeous too.. Glad you finished it in the nick of time...

Enjoy your weather and stay WARM.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love reading about and seeing your snow, but I don't need any here, at least not until after Christmas. Weeks of snow last year really messed with our holiday plans.

I like the reflections you captured in the water of the pond as well. The snow is beautiful and I'm glad you and Buddy are able to get out and enjoy it. That scarf is very nice.

I like Nature's reflections in water. There's a blogger that focuses a lot on this (Dimple at "Meditations of my Heart").

The red scarf is superb; you're gifted , and since you're going to donate it, also generous.

Nice scarf.

When your momma said to you, "Mind your knitting." Did you think it would come down to this?

I like your snow photos and frozen marsh photos with your pal. Nice to have a friend like that.

Pink snowshoes? Where did you find pink snowshoes?? Pretty photos of the marsh area. Good ol' Budster. What a trooper he is. Today's storm is already looking interesting, isn't it? Half the state is shut down Beautiful red scarf. I love the pattern.
