You may remember I posted a few days ago that Ashton had returned home from college for her winter break AND....that she was moving home for good as she had decided to commute the next semester.....

Remember this photo? This is what part of her bedroom was looking like up until last night....

Its beginning to look somewhat familiar to me now when I peek in, she has started a massive clean-up project and I must say that this corner is looking good! Underneath the tv is a red letter "A" block. That was given to her as a birthday gift from her sweet cousin Elizabeth. Elizabeth decorated the block of wood very nicely so that it could be used to hold Ashton's dorm room door open. Now it has a place of honor in her bedroom at home.

This is the first time I have seen the top of her desk since she packed for college in mid-August!

I know, its still in the "upheaval" stage but there really is hope that Ashton might just find the floor in her room one day. At least the vacuum fits in there now.

See, she really is working hard here....I must say she has done quite well as she has been called into work several times in the past few days.

Here's BuddyTheElf disguised as a reindeer. Bet he fooled you!

Not to be left out......

That little gal looks tired... Hope she's not trying to do too much --school, work, play, etc... Young adults have alot of energy--so I'm sure she will be fine. Been there --done that... Tell her to slow down and enjoy Christmas ---just a little.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh my! Ashton really has her work cut out for her. You must be happy that she's back home. Buddy looks so cute as a reindeer!

Wow, she did good! It's a good thing that you didn't turn her room into a guest room, or an exercise room, or.... well, I'm sure you could have found a good use for the unused space. LOL
And, The Elf looks so cute in his ears!
how fun to have her back...bet you don't even might the mess...
she's a good girl. merry xmas.
And it would be finally, Merry Christmas.
Can see the desk corner is very tidy & neat now! Buddy is so cute there!
Sure makes a difference when they come back with more than when they left. LOL It will be different having her at home. I may not get around for a while, since I am going to be pretty busy this next week. So wanting to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
What a metamorphosis!
If there's a will, there's a way. Ashton has proved her strong will to put things in order and she has greatly succeded in doing that.
Hi Cheryl, typical girl's room...love that wall colour.
Well, at least you'll have an assistant in the kitchen when she's home, ha ha.
Have fun, Cheryl....best regards, lee.
Ah, progress!
She does look tired, looked that way when she stopped by the other day. Hope she's taking a few days to catch up on her sleep! Socks was jealous of the antlers!
Massive reorganization for the bedroom. Buddy sure looks like a reindeer!
Great pictures. Glad her room is coming along. I'm sure that was overwhelming at first!
I love Buddy's antlers :)
If Buddy is anything like my cats, he probably prefers Ashton keep the antlers :) My cats can't stand to wear anything on their head. :)
Betsy: Yes, my little girl is very tired. She has been working long shifts in the local nursing home as well as helping out with her cousins. I do hope she finds some time to rest up for her next semester at college! Ah to be 18 again and to be able to go,go,go!
Lucy the Cat: Yes her stepdad and I are very happy she is at home. Doesn't Buddy look like a reindeer?
Dez: Maybe I should have turned her room into a guest room! I still have Ben's room but its slowly filling up with "stuff"! Aren't the ears a hoot?
Lin: I must say it could be alot worse, the mess that is! She has always been very organized and kept her room spotless but lately...
Wenn: Yes, she is a good girl. Growing up very quickly!
rainfield61: Yes indeed!
Dora: Stuff is starting to appear in Ashton's room! There is hope!
Patty: I am so fortunate that my children do want to come home when they need to! Thats what families are all about. Wishing you a Merry Christmas as well.
DUTA: Thanks for the nice comment. I must say Ashton is a very strong willed young lady and has done alot in her life already, more than some people might in their entire lives. I thank my Mom for my upbringing and hope I have passed it on to my daughter.
Uncle Lee: The color of the room has been called "pepto bismal pink" and I agree! She picked it out...yes, she can certainly help out with Christmas dinner.
Linda Reeder: Slowly but surely!
Margaret: She IS tired but won't admit to it! Want me to bring the antlers for Socks to wear Christmas Eve?
Pete: I always tell Ashton when I enter her room that I am entering under the threat of danger! Its beginning to look better though.
Marci: Yes, Buddy definitely does not like the antlers. But he was nice enough to wear them long enough for me to get a photo. He is ok with wearing his fancy collars though!
