Vacation Day Thursday

Today was another beautiful day. It was cool early this morning, guessing high 40's. This is only the beginning. I nursed the newly injected knee yesterday all day so walked a fairly level trail today, being extra careful. We walked on Lobster Cove Meadow, located about five miles from our home. It is one of the many trails of the Boothbay Region Land Trust. bbrlt.org
Again I was tickled to see the "uncurling" asters along the trail.

I spotted this pretty white flower along the trail. Does anyone know what it might be? This is the first time I have ever seen one.

The marsh had pretty pink flowers floating in the water. I especially like the waterlilies.

Pooched pup on the way home.

You captured some really beautiful pictures. I love the one of the water. Wow! The sky looks so pretty. You've given me an appreciation of uncurling flowers. Is that Buddy the Elf? He's so cute.

Lucy the Cat: Glad you stopped by. The sky is so pretty here this time of year, the blue is deeper I think. Don't you just love the uncurling flowers? I have started looking at all flowers closer now. Yes, that is BuddyTheElf. He was tired from trying to chase a few squirrels I think.

breathtakingly beautiful photos, especially the flowers reflecting in the water. What a lovely place you live in. We're coming to Maine again next year...

Hi Cheryl, Hope you didn't over-do today. Your hike looked wonderful. I don't know what that pretty white flower is either...

Looks like you wore your puppy out on that hike!!!! ha

Take care..
Hugs,
Betsy

I was out exploring today too.
About that white flower, I know a lot of flowers, but not that one. Could it be a kind of bog orchid?

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I don't have too much time to devote to this, but I love to look at wonderful photos when I have the time. Your blog is very nice!! I love the 3rd photo! The reflection is amazing. Your dog is so cute!

All your photos were fabulous but that third one with the reflection of the sky should be framed. Wow!

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I notice the sign at the beginning said 'For the children'. I could easily become a child to be able to enjoy a walk through this beautiful cove. I hope you weren't as tired as the puppy.
