Slow down Fall please!

A couple of days ago while walking I came upon these little Queen Anne's Lace flowers blooming away. They weren't very big but were very brave! They just aren't ready to stop blooming yet.
I took this photo yesterday. This is where the saltwater stream that borders our property comes from. It is pretty no matter what the season. I can't begin to count the number of people who stop their cars and take a photo of this view all year long.
The dog "walked" me on the preserve next door. I love this view of the farm at the top of the hill. However starting tomorrow I won't walk the preserve as it is deer hunting season for the next month. The preserve trails are not posted "no hunting". Its illegal to hunt on Sunday so Buddy and I can venture out on the preserve at least once a week safely!

A photo of the marsh bordering our property. This is where the saltwater stream finally ends up, in a big marsh bordering the woods. The trees around here and now turning yellow and brown but I think they still are pretty.
Still a little color here and there. I tried to catch the big tree's reflection in the still pond, along with the golden leaves floating on the water. Happy Halloween!

Cheryl,

These are some really good shots! I especially love the top two. You should enter your reflection shot in the reflection meme if you havent already: http://newtowndailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/10/forrest-on-water-weekend-reflections-6.html

Also, I agree that fall is going so quickly. I wish it would just slow down!

I hate deer hunting season! Molly and I have to don our blaze orange even if it's for just a quick trip outside. We feel like moving targets.

Wonderful, beautiful photos, by the way.

Hi Cheryl, That saltwater stream is interesting... So is the marsh. Looks like your fall colors are mostly gone. Ours are going quick... I blew leaves today--and we're supposed to get storms and high winds tonight. That will bring more of our leaves down for sure... Winter is on the way for sure!!!!

Happy Halloween.
Hugs,
Betsy

Your pictures display some wonderful colors, and the reflection of the trees in water in your last picture is simply amazing!

You certainly have a beautiful view from your property. The saltwater stream is very photogenic -- no wonder people stop to take pictures.

That marsh photo is really spectacular, Cheryl. It's like another world. Beautiful. I love seeing the fall photos since it's same old same old over here.

Gosh I envy you! You have such a tranquil and beautiful opening space...the creek, the trees, and nature. I live in the city, really nothing compares to where you live. Where is this place by the way?

Fall is beautiful, as what I have seen in the blogosphere, but it will soon leave us, and I shall never feel it as well.

Thanks for sharing to someone who is living far away at another corner of the Earth.

Lucy the Cat: Thanks for the nice comment. I am toying with the idea of entering the reflection shot...

Aunt Jean: Me too, I detest hunting season. Used to have to send the kids to the bus stop with bright orange caps! Have had a hunter in the backyard even!

Betsy from Tennessee: You certainly have beautiful foliage in your area and I have so enjoyed looking at your photos. We are getting high winds and rain now so the leaves will now be ready for raking! Thats Mark's job!

DUTA: Thanks for the comment. We are very fortunate to have four seasons, each a beauty in its own way. However, I don't like snow!

George: Glad you stopped by. Yes, the stream is a bonus to have bordering our property!

Lin Floyd: Mother Nature has blessed us with a beautiful landscape, as I am sure she does everywhere.

Kay: Glad you enjoyed autumn through my photos. Too soon I will be posting about snowstorms!

Rose Belle: Thanks for coming by. I live in a small coastal community in Maine. I couldn't imagine not having the ocean nearby. I am fortunate to have a large lot of land and it has several kinds of trees, the marsh and the tidal stream as a bonus! Glad you enjoyed.

rainfield61: Glad you stopped by, please stop by again. I do enjoy sharing my little place in the world with all! I am on my way to your blog now.

Wenn: Thanks for stopping by and leaving the nice comment.

Brenda Kay Ledford: Welcome to my blog. So glad you found it. I will check out yours as well. Take care.
