Enjoying the day

Mark and I took a walk at Dodge Point http://draclt.org today, one of our favorite locations to visit. The little ladybug caught my eye.
Surprised to see some blooms here and there.

I am fascinated by what happens to green plants and flowers when they "go by". I think they are just as interesting and pretty now.

Loved this spider web between the two Queen Anne's Lace.
Just a small display of color here and there. There are trees that are changing now but not many at Dodge Point.
I was amazed to see this little blossom!
Yesterday I happened to look out one of the living room windows that faces the marsh/trees in our backyard. There was this young deer, munching away very contentedly! The deer have become very bold the past couple of years. I zoomed in for this shot. The deer has some sort of marking on its hind leg.
Here is the view of the backyard as of yesterday afternoon. The leaves are changing quickly now.

Cheryl, Your fall colors are coming faster where you are than here in PA. It's so beautiful where you live! Love the ladybug and flowers "going by."

I love that ladybug, too. Enjoyed all the pictures, in fact. I wonder if the deer's mark on his hind quarters is from an injury, even (and I hate to say this), a bullet? Yikes.

Nature is amazing in all seasons. We're just starting to get some color here, but the roses are still blooming so we're enjoying those as well.

Lucy the Cat: Hi! Today is gray and rainy but the fall colors brighten things up. We still have about a week or so before full color here on the coast.

Aunt Jean: Isn't the ladybug cute? I think I have heard that particular kind called "Halloween" something or other, as they appear this time of year...I too am afraid the mark on the deer could be a bullet mark, have put the call out to the expert on wildlife, Courtney, and hope he can give me an answer. Notice the little spots near the backbone ridge? So its a little fella!

Lin Floyd: I think that there is beauty in all, and I have enjoyed looking at the "dead and gone-by" stuff almost as much as the living flowers. I too like to use them in decorating.

Betsy: Here is hoping fall is on its way to you! In today's rain and gloom the trees are "beacon of color"! Have a great weekend.

Kay: Do you miss the changing seasons? I think if I lived where you do I wouldn't miss winter! Thanks for stopping by.

Joyce's Journey: I will certainly keep you all updated on the foliage change. Hopefully this coming weekend I can get more photos. Glad you enjoyed!

Tes: Welcome to my blog, thanks for stopping by and saying hi! Maine has four beautiful seasons to enjoy.

Linda Reeder: Glad you stopped by. How lucky can I be to have such wonderful scenery around me! Its always changing. Although some days I wished I could see white sand and palm trees!

George: Your roses are just outstanding. You should be very proud. Your neighbors must be delighted to enjoy as well!

James: Hope your back is feeling better. Thanks for the nice comment. Is fall coming to your area now?
