Ashton brought a visitor to our home yesterday. Ashton likes to "borrow" Maple from her owners and take her on visits. In the first photo is Maple. She is a sweet and well-behaved dog who belongs to members of Eric's family. Buddy doesn't really like the company. First, its HIS home and how dare Ashton bring another dog to HIS house? Maple is at least three times the size of as Buddy so you can see where the inferior feelings come into play! However Buddy is relaxing a bit each visit,usually from his secure seat with his dog dad Mark!
However, once Maple receives a dog bone from me, Buddy springs into action. Hmmm...MY PARENTS gave that dog a bone.....hmpff..... we'll just see about that! Buddy was soon appeased by some treats and "let the matter drop"! The last time Maple visited she got into the dog's basket of dog toys and discovered a dog bone. It promptly became hers and off she went home with it! I fear I have started something, each time Maple comes to visit she is going to expect a dog bone from me! Hi Maddie!

Maple and Buddy are adorable dogs. They look quite well behaved. Maybe my son's Mungo could learn from them.
Love the look on Buddy's face as he keeps an eye on Maple (while tucked under Mark's arm). Can't blame Buddy for having his nose out of joint that another pretty dog is getting some attention!
I think I'm on Buddy's side here; although, Mable is very cute. It would be perfect if they became friends.

What a cute girl Maple is! She can come to visit anytime, and she LOOOOVVVEEES the treats! Buddy does well to put up with her taking over his house! haha
Maple and Buddy are both so cute. I think they will be good friends soon.
Maple looks like she's very comfy in your house, much to Buddy's dismay! She's a beautiful dog. Yes Buddy, you're very handsome dog too!
I think Buddy has a jealous bone as far as Maple is concerned. But I expect they will become fast friends before too long.
Kay: Hi! I bet Mungo will be a perfect pup soon. I didn't think we would ever get Buddy trained but it does happen! The crate was the best thing ever.
Aunt Jean: Isn't that the funniest? Buddy sitting (securily I might add)in Mark's lap until the issue of a stray dog bone came up and then he was off! How dare Ashton bring "something" into his home??
Lucy the Cat: Thanks Lucy for the headtap, I sure needed one after the dog visitation. Whew. I suppose I could get along with Maple IF I had to...I know you've had to make an adjustment in your life with Bucky!
Maddie (Maples Mom): Maple can live with us forever, we all love her to pieces. She is such a good girl. Buddy thinks so too, deep down inside but doesn't want to admit it. She will always have treats waiting for her at our house!
James: Hi there! I think Buddy has let too sheltered a life with us! I guess it must be in the dog's nature not to want someone else come in and get attention!
Margaret: Buddy is preening over your compliment. Maple would get along very well with Socks I am sure. They both are very laid back dogs, unlike someone who lives in this house!
George: Glad you stopped by. I think there may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship (!) soon. As long as a guest doesn't steal Buddy's chew toy!
