Beautiful, Cheryl... There have been many of my coats and blankets that have been used by the homeless all through the years. I also remember sewing my kids' names on their stuff when they went to college and camps...
I'm back. I just had to watch the video again. I love it! It's a good reminder to start looking through our closets to choose coats for the annual "Coats for Kids" drive.
Hi all: The original video came to us with Mark's name in it, from Sears and Land's End. Must have been from something we have ordered in the past. However, you can click on a link to forward it on to your friends and it asks for YOUR name! I too have to go dig through the closets and get some coats ready to donate. We have donated to our own area drives and I also donate mittens and hats to our elementary school.
Enjoying our last year together at home, as Ashton, the baby of the family, is in her Senior year of high school and starting the process of applying to colleges. Her mom is on a journey to adjust to a home without children-after 29 years! Ashton is planning to become a nurse. She became a certified nurses' aide at 16, during her Junior year of high school. She participates in Football Cheering, mentoring, volunteering at the Y and works part-time as a CNA at the local nursing home. Ashton is always very busy being a PRINCESS! Cheryl works part-time in the health care field and stays home with the other baby, "Buddy The Elf", a Jack Russell/MinPin mix. She has the world's best husband and is the proud "Mom" as well of two sons ages 29 and 22, both of whom have left the nest previously. She loves to hike, kayak, canoe, snowshoe, travel(especially to the Caribbean!), read, knit, try new receipes and tries her darndest to be June Cleaver.

That is awesome! Did they put your name on it or was it already there?!
Whoa! I had to look twice to see if I was really looking at your name, Cheryl. This is a meaningful video.

This is such an amazing video. What a good reminder, too. I'm looking through my closet right now.
we all have coats we no longer where, especially me who lives in a warmer climate. good post...
Wonderful video, Cheryl!!
Kay: This video touched me so. Just really made me stop and count my blessings, something I should do more often!
Lin Floyd: I find I keep clothes unnecessarily, I MIGHT just want to wear it again but never do. So a big cleaning of the closets is under way here.
Lucy the Cat: Glad you enjoyed the video, I just had to share.
