Interesting reads

I have been on a reading kick lately. I finally read "To Kill A Mockingbird" (loved it) and recently read "The Summer Kitchen" which I couldn't put down, read it in just a couple of days. I have also read The Necklace which was fascinating and Julie & Julia. The J & J book was good, one I could read and put down and come back to later. However, "The Time Travelers Wife" is one I am just finishing up-oh my word, I highly recommend this book. Wonderful, spellbinding, cannot put it down, emotional and a keeper! Check out these books and enjoy some summer reading!

Hi Cheryl, You are really a reader, aren't you???? I don't seem to have time much anymore --with all of the yardwork, the birds, our trips, and of course, my being on the computer 24/7. ha.....

Glad you are enjoying your books. I would love to see the movie, Julie and Julia. Looks GREAT.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm not much of a reader, too busy writing I guess although I am reading Ray Bradbury's The Zen of the Art of Writing...full of great thoughts from his life.

The Time Traveller's Wife sounds like a must read. I'm enjoying your copy of The Summer Kitchen. Thanks for lending it! Ken thinks I'm reading a Grisham next. We'll see. He's a major Grisham fan.

Good books transport me back in time or ahead into the future. Especially the non-fiction ones into the future.

Thanks, by the way, for the nice comment on Pick a Peck of Pixels.

I slept under a blanket last night. This has been the coldest July ever recorded here in Ohio where we live. And it was only 59 F here this morning. August is starting out to be more of the same. I fear a climate change is on the way and each year will disrupt the lives of more birds and butterflies to say nothing about the polar bears.
