What kind of parent lets their 17 year old daughter talk them into going "college" shopping at 9 p.m. on a Friday night? Especially a parent who is ready to settle in, watch tv and do her nails?? Yeah....
In case you haven't figured it out, the college color scheme for Ashton's dorm room is orange, purple, green, pink and blue. Also her notebooks must coordinate with her dorm room. However only certain shades of these colors are allowed....The mission was a success, in that Mom most generously paid for the supplies and an I-tunes card to boot! We had fun with our shopping expedition though and so what if my nails didn't get done?
Once home Ashton went right to work. She printed out her class schedule in pink and green. THEN she laminated each schedule and Mark and I were just thrilled to get our very own laminated schedule!! I believe VIPs will be receiving their schedules soon....
Then, to top the evening off (at around midnight at this point) Ashton printed out her own customized notebook covers and labeled the newly acquired notebooks. Even the binder on each notebook got its very own personalized identification! Ashton has always been very efficient. I am thinking that she could help pay her college tuition by customizing her fellow classmates notebooks, pens, etc.,etc. We kiddingly have said Ashton should do laundry for her fellow dorm mates as she cannot wait to do her laundry HERSELF!!
