Nature shots from the week

Enjoying a treat...
A brand-spanking new flower! I had never seen one at this stage of blooming.
A hike Thursday evening at Ovens Mouth.
Heron having a meal of an eel.
Osprey keeping an eye on the goings on around it.
The beginning of a pretty hike at Dodge Point on Wednesday evening.

A quiet pond on the trail.
Sea Lavender is blooming.
A mega-yacht in the distance. Note the lobster boat in the lower left corner. Quite a contrast!

Heron reflecting on the pond near our home.
Discovered a sandpiper while hiking on the Zak Preserve.
Heron in the marsh on the Zak Preserve.
Lingering drops on Queen Anne's Lace.

This post was everything I love in nature and in photos.
The squirrel is adorable....is that a red squirrel?
I love herons and just got some of my first-ever heron photos a few weeks ago. The Osprey photos is awesome!!
In photograpy, I think water reflections and water drops are the greatest!
Thanks for the wonderful post.

What a nice variety of shots, Cheryl. The pink flower looks very orchid-ish to me, but it's probably not related. Great photo of the heron and its reflection. The yacht is ours, by the way. Guess we forgot to tell you we were in town...."...meal of an eel." Note the rhyme. You're not only a talented photographer, you're a budding poet! Geez.

Beautiful Creation: Thanks for your comments. And yes, that was a red squirrel. He nicely posed for me! I too really like the water reflections and water drops.

Betsy: Wouldn't that yacht be a grand way to travel?? Thanks for visiting.

Lin: I especially like to take flower photos, glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for stopping by!

flyingstars: Thank you for the nice comment and welcome! So pleased you stopped by and come back again!

Kay: Glad you stopped by, I know you are very busy with your very special guests.

Aunt Jean: Ah, so the yacht is yours. Of course, that is what one gets for celebrating 39 years of marriage! I cannot comprehend having something of that magnitude, I am happy to be out in our kayak!
