Two snowstorms in two days!

Here a few sights that greeted me this morning. We had a big snowstorm on Sunday which left us with about 10 inches of new snow. Yesterday it snowed all day long and slowly tapered off this morning. We got another six to seven inches of the white stuff.
The branches were striking against the blue sky that was slowly appearing this morning.
The sun is working hard to make an appearance.
A couple of ducks played in the brook most of the day.

We've been having some really weird weather patterns over in the west coast. It's pouring like crazy as I'm typing this comment. We have had 3 thunderstorms for the past three days which is not typical of San Francisco weather. Lightning used to be a rarity here but just yesterday we had at least 95 lightning strikes by the lastest count. So I guess, lightning storms in the west and snow storms in the east, huh? Take care Cheryl.

Oooh! Ouch! That's a lot of snow. Beautiful but painful on the back for shoveling. Those beautiful photos really bring back a lot of memories. I loved to walk on the virgin snow after a storm.

Your scenery looks about the same as ours. Aren't those little ducks cute?

great photos-you certainly have lots of snow

This is exactly the type of snowfall Betsy wants us to have. Since Tennessee is not equipped to handle this much snow I just may send Betsy up there to enjoy your snow.

I can't begin to imagine what it's like to live where it snows like that. Beautiful pictures.

Gorgeous, but it's easy for me to say since I don't have to deal with the shoveling, etc. Really, though, you are pictures are beautiful.

We're now having a rainy week in California but no colder than 55 degrees.

Sounds like you'll be snowshoeing for some time to come!

Rose Belle: It does sound like both coasts are experiencing strange weather! When the snow starts to go in another couple of months we will have alot of mud to contend with!

Pete: Yes, the ducks are always around, all year round! They are so fun to watch too.

Kay: There is nothing prettier than fresh-fallen snow. I didn't get out today to snowshoe but hopefully tomorrow. The shoveling did me in!

Aunt Jean: I get such a kick out of watching "my" ducks. Some days there are two couples and others just one. They spend all day here.

Lin Floyd: Yes, plenty of snow, enough for awhile too!

George: You can send Betsy up here for a few days and she can have fun in the snow! She can snowshoe, make a snow angel, sled, etc.,etc.!

Linda: Since I am just a few miles from the coast we don't have an awful lot of snow usually. What we have now is alot. Some winters we don't have much more than a dusting. We do get alot of rain instead of snow.

Lucy the Cat: Its too bad that you are having so much rain on your trip. At least it is warm. I wonder if you have more snow now at home? Has Lucy, Simba or Bucky called to tell you :)

Gary: I think I could easily lose one or both of the cars under the snow! I will have to put a Wal-Mart smiley face antenna ball on them!

Betsy from Tennessee: I think I can honestly say I have just about had enough of winter now! How about I make a snowball for you next time I am out?!

The duckling seems enjoy in the snowing there!

Wow. You are really experiencing winter, while here in Seattle we've had a week of spring.

I don't think I have to tell you how much I like good snow shots - you've seen plenty on my blog but this is cool too:
Congratulations – You’ve been tagged! That means you’re it. I got tagged by Stephen Baird the Nikon Sniper, so I answered all his questions and passed it on to you. This really can be some fun if you’ll play along. There are just a few questions to answer and you can see them - along with my answers -

I love when snow hangs on trees. Also love the duck photo. I'd like to see a little more snow here, but I know it's not good for the animals. But it makes for beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.

You really do have it nice. Just stick the ruler in the snow. What a nice stack of the stuff you got there. Nice photo.

I woke up in the morning and looked at my window.

There was no snow outside.

Dora: The ducks don't seem to mind what the weather is at all! They come rain, snow or shine!

Linda Reeder: I would love to swap winter for your spring!

Bull Rhino: Glad you stopped by. I think if I could come up with 8 answers to 8 questions it'd be a miracle-I am rather boring!! But thanks anyways.

Marci: Yes the snow is pretty, especially when it first falls but now I am getting tired of it. It is hard on the animals and I worry about my "friends" the deer.

Abraham Lincoln: I just tried snowshoeing and the snow is way too deep for me and the dog. I would say we have a good foot and a half on the ground now. I will have to find some pre-packed trails from now on. But it was exercise!

rainfield61: Well I must say when I look out my windows all I see is white! It is very pretty today though in the sunshine. Its fairly warm-40 degrees!
