Ice beauties

I snapped this photo a few days ago in a tiny open spot in a frozen stream behind my house.
This is a very strange formation! Its a big bubble of ice.
Found this odd looking form of ice in a little stream yesterday while we were snowshoeing. So intricate!
Who needs diamonds?? To me Mother Nature has gifted us with her jewels.
So very intricate and delicate.
I snapped this photo at the nearby pond. This is where the culvert opens up to the stream. Its filled with huge ice forms and this one form struck me as being a "claw".
There are four different shaped ice formations that are hanging from a branch.
This ice formation makes me think of a sail.

I still don't know HOW you manage to find such amazing, intricate, delicate formations in nature. Apparently you take the time to stop and look, whereas I blindly forge ahead. I should take a lesson from you.

These ice formations look spectacular yet eerie at the same time. The big ice bubble looks like a human head encased with ice. Isn't nature just so beautiful and mysterious at the same time? You captured some really great natural process.

Friend of the Ice - that's what we should call you.
People are aware of the beauty of ice formations, but few bother to stop, take a close look and snap photos as you do.
