Fun with the nieces and a cute puppy!!

Saturday afternoon Mark and I went snowshoeing with my nieces Robyn and Elizabeth. Uncle Mark was kind enough to carry Elizabeth's pink backpack for her.
It was beautiful, not too cold and it felt nice to be outside.
Elizabeth gets such pretty pink cheeks when she's outside!
It wouldn't have been a complete trip through the snow without the girls making a snow angel!

Unfortunately the sun sets too early this time of year so we had to call it a day. We will definitely go again with the girls.
We had a surprise visit from a very cute puppy and of course Ashton! She brought her boyfriend's mother's Christmas present to the house so we could see how much Bella had grown since we saw her on Christmas day.
She is a cutie. It was fun to watch her chasing a ball around, she sort of pranced and pounced!
Bella discovered BuddyTheElf's kong on the sofa and immediately pounced upon it. Meanwhile Buddy sat with Mark glowering as he was not too keen on this "intruder" in HIS house.
Here's an update of the "clean-up" project Ashton has been working on in her room during her Christmas break! She got her favorite photos framed and up on the wall....progress!!

That Snowshoeing looks like so much fun, Cheryl...Bet it's good exercise too!!!!! We had a little more snow tonight--but there's a huge warm-up coming FINALLY.

Your nieces looked like they were having a great time also... AND that puppy is adorable.
Hugs,
Betsy

That really does look like fun. I wish that we had snow like that here.

That's still a lot of snow you have there in Maine! When does it start to melt? You folks look so comfortable in the freezing temp. The last time I stood on snow, I was shivering so hard...guess it was because I wasn't used to the cold.

Great photos of the snowshoeing adventure, Cheryl, and of little Bella. She's a doll. Love the one of her with Buddy's Konga, one eye looking right at you. Ashton has a great photo collection on her wall.

That does it. The next time it snows here, I'm going to find a place to rent snowshoes. I can't wait! Unfortunately, it's not in the predictions as far as the eye can see.

Bella is so cute! Ashton's wall looks great!

Wow. It does look like you all had a great time in the snow. And that dog is a big hit in my house or would be. What a lovely animal.

I always love looking at your pictures! You are a great photographer and you live in a gorgeous area! Personally, I don't think I could handle that snow and cold weather, but it looks so peaceful.

It looks as if you had a great day for snowshoeing. It was good of you to include your nieces in your trek. Buddy-The-Elf certainly didn't look happy with Bella's presence!

May I borrow Uncle Mark to carry my chilly bin full of water and food and change of clothing for 5?

You have a handsome husband and beautiful nieces and the snow angel. My son Sam tried to make one but the imprint didn't show up well when we went skiing.

you are having fun despite the cold weather-looks invigorating outside and that dog is too cute.

OMG I laughed when I saw the picture of the backpack (or pack pack as Tiz use to call it) He's such a good sport! The girls had a fabulous time and can't wait to do it again. I'm going to have to get some snowshoes! I didn't recgonize Ashton in the picture! Hair looks great. Bella is adorable, sorry that Buddy thinks his S*%$ doesn't smell and snubs visitors! ;)

Right now I think fun in the snow sounds great. Much more fun than staying out of the rain.

I don't know which is the prettiest! Your husband with the girlie back-pack or that gorgeous photo of the little girl with the pink cheeks! Both are too sweet for words!

BuddyTheElf is so cute snuggling on the sofa.

I don't have dog's in my adult life, but as kids, we had working dogs. They did not come into the house.

Hi Cheryl, I love that snow trail.
And Holy Smoke! Are those snowshoes?
They've gone hi-tech, huh?
Bet the instructions on putting them on at least 2 pages, ha ha.
I have never seen them before, and to think I am in Canada, ha ha. (Never used one before, thats why.)

Love that puppy. I had several dogs long ago, either German Shepherds or Dobermans, and all named either 'Brandy', or 'Whisky', 'Gin, 'Lucky' (I smoke Lucky Strikes, heh heh)...but my wife drew the line at my wanting to use, 'Poker', ha ha.

I guess you already know why I love those names, ha ha.
Cheryl, you stay young and keep a song in your heart, stay warm Lee.
