Ashton and I have been following over the past year this blog: My Charming Kids. You've probably noticed the Pray for Stellan button I have on the sidebar. I found this delightful blog a year ago, actually the night before Stellan was born! For some reason I feel I was meant to find the blog. I have learned so much from MckMama as she and her family make this journey with Stellan. Never has a blog "tugged" at me as much as this one. I took the above photo on Memorial Day weekend along the shoreline of one of my favorite trails. I drew the six hearts in the sand around Stellan's name to represent each one of the members of Stellan's family and Mark even found a heart-shaped rock to place near it as well! I submitted the photo to the gallery of photos from all over the world praying for Stellan. A week or so later I was delighted (and surprised) to see my photo on a beautiful video that another blogger had made for this delightful family.MckMama has "given" me so many lessons over the last year. She writes about her daily life with four children, one seriously ill, with humor, great faith and courage. Her faith is amazing. She writes in such a wonderful manner that it makes me stop and really think. I feel I have become more patient, more hopeful and much more open to others around me.
I am not the type of person to write such a post as I just have but I wanted to share with you this amazing story.

others examples under great stress can certainly be a strength to us in our individual lives.
Lin Floyd: How very true your words are. Sometimes its as if a "wake-up call" is needed!
Hi Cheryl, Neat post. We all do learn from each other. AND--when 'strife' comes to us, with faith, we become stronger. With God's help, we can get through anything and everything.
I will continue to pray for Stellan. May God Bless that family.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a wonderful post. I'm glad your photo was used in a video -- it's very nice. I went to MckMama's blog and it sounds as if there is good news regarding Stellan. Thanks for the great post.
Cheryl,
This is a very lovely picture. Very sweet for the family. I think it's wonderful that you shared with us things that have changed you from this family.
I'm with Betty that we can get through anything with God's help. Faith in Him is so important.

Betsy from Tennessee: The blog I mentioned today has touched me so, as have many other blogs. As you said with God's help we can get through anything and everything. The power of prayer is amazing!
George: I was delighted to read that Stellan's surgery was a success!
Lucy the Cat: Glad you enjoyed this post. I think with MckMama's blog I started to see life a little more clearly than I have been doing, especially lately. I have been fortunate to have found great blog friends (and cats!) and each blog has a special meaning to me. Faith is indeed important!
I just stopped by at Stellan's mother's blog. It is a very moving blog. She writes beautifully and is such an inspiration.
I thoroughly enjoyed your post and like the picture and what you did for Stellan. I went to their site and saw the post showing his improved condition now and the over 3300 comments. Surely the power of love is universal.
hi Cheryl, it is indeed a breathtaking blog.. MckMama...need to pray..only God will do what is best for baby Stellan.. such a cute adorable boy...
good to share and care..
I'm glad you reminded us about Stellan, Cheryl. I'd been following his mother's blog but somehow drifted away from it this summer.
I have to go check out this blog. You have me intrigued.
Kay: Isn't MckMama's blog an inspiration? And how wonderful Stellan is doing now!
Abraham Lincoln: Yes, the power of love is truly universal and how wonderful when people come together for one another.
reanaclaire: Isn't the blog amazing? I know there are many, many more just like that out there but this one just caught my heart!
wenn: Your comments exactly!
Aunt Jean: Yesterday as I was trying to decide whether to blog or not it came to me about Stellan and the upcoming surgery. I just had to share MckMama and Stellan's story with everyone.
Joyce's Journey: Isn't the story and blog intriguing? I know there are thousands of other stories like this one out there but this one seemed special for some reason.

I pray for Stellan too!
Hah, very nice of you!
I'll pray for Stellan. The prayer is a wonderful and powerful thing. I think your sand drawing is great!
Dora: Exactly what you said! I have so much to be thankful for and sometimes I need to be reminded.
Pete: Thanks for stopping by!
James: Prayer is truly wonderful and one can draw much strength, hope and courage from it. Glad you liked the sand drawing!
Hi Cheryl, love this heartwarming posting. You're a good woman.
And good of you to bring out this story...hands that help are Holier than lips that pray.
Wow, I love where you live. Looks like a Ranch? And all that outback your territory? Looking at the outback can practically see Clint Eastwood coming in on his horse to the tune of 'The good, the bad..'
Guess Winter has come early where you are.
For us, so far so good, but as this Summer was cool, hardly many miniskirt days, I am sure we have no need to play Uncle Bing's, "I'm dreaming of a White...", well you know, ha ha.
You have a nice day and keep a song in your heart....Lee.
A beautiful post Cheryl, and your photo was a beautiful tribute to Stellan.
Uncle Lee: Thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice comment. We have about 5 acres all together, our property abuts a tidal stream, marsh and the main highway. Mark keeps all of the huge lawn mowed weekly and by hand! Its his exercise he says. Now I wouldn't mind if Clint Eastwood DID come riding from out back here....Fall is here for sure, has been for a couple of weeks.
Dez: Thank you. Nice to see you visited. And now Stellan is home and completely healed! Love stories with such great endings.
