Happy Birthday dear Robyn

A very happy 15th birthday to my wonderful niece Robyn. She is like one of my own. I love this photo of her taken after Courtney's high school graduation. She was 3.Here is the birthday girl in her Christmas finery. What a little lady.
Robyn is always giving Ashy hugs as well as to Auntie. I think this must have been a dress-up day. The girls are modeling for me. In the next photo Robyn was 7 years old. I noticed a little person down in the lower right corner-that would be Elizabeth, her little sister who Robyn loves dearly. Elizabeth is so very lucky to have such a wonderful "sissy". The next photo is one of my favorites of both my "girls". It is sweet. Ashton, Benjamin and I have spent many happy times camping with our favorite family at Lake Pemaquid. Ashton had a pinata for a birthday party and was Robyn eager to take a whack at it! It was almost bigger than her. Look at that delighted smile. The girls were enjoying a day at Storyland in NH. Robyn was 6. Elizabeth was content to sleep in the carriage. At three months old she wasn't quite ready to experience the rides! The next photo was taken at Courtney's Grand March, following his high school graduation. Robyn was 3 at the time. This is another of my favorites. She was so delighted that her cousin danced with her.
Seven years later at Benjamin's Grand March she once again wore her dancing shoes and kicked up her heels! As one might have noticed neither girl is the least bit camera shy! The next photo was taken at my aunt's home during a family get-together. I wanted a photo of Ben and Ashton with their great-grandmother and grandmother. However, another "kid" entered the scene and became part of "my" family photo!! How could I not let Robyn be a part of it?
Happy Birthday again Robyn. How I have so enjoyed special times with you over the past 15 years and look forward to many, many more. Did you know that Auntie sent your parents out for an ice cream when you were a couple of weeks old, telling them that they needed to get out for a bit but really Auntie wanted to hold and rock you? I can remember waaaiiitttnnnggg for hours to find out whether I was going to have a niece or nephew. Grammy Shirley and I checked in with each other constantly that day while anxiously awaiting your arrival. I wouldn't leave the phone to go anywhere until I heard. I remember your Mom calling me to tell me you were walking at around 9-10 months old! Now in a month you will start learning to drive. Do you remember the pedicures? You always let Auntie paint your toenails in bright colors. You have the happiest laugh I have ever heard, definitely you have inherited that from your Mom! I remember having you here with me when your Mom went to deliver Tiz. We sat on the couch that morning waiting for your dad to call you. You were very cool, calm and collected and I was beside myself with anticipation. I was so happy when I drove you to Brunswick to meet your little sister. Remember all the shopping trips? I remember taking you to get your ears pierced and you sat so quietly. I can still picture you swimming happily in the pool when we went to Disney World and that you liked your first airplane trip. We used to have such fun on our trips to Murray Hill to have a picnic and explore the shoreline. And how you made me laugh at your baptism. During the ceremony you looked at me and kept smiling big, toothless smiles (you were only about 4 months old). It was supposed to be a solemn occasion and you had poor Auntie trying so hard not to laugh out loud. You knew you had me! Happy Birthday dear Robyn and I wish a wonderful, happy and fulfilling future for you. Love, Auntie

LOVE the "family photo" with Robyn tucked right into the group, too. You've got so many wonderful family photos, Cheryl. Another favorite is Courtney dancing with Robyn, because Robyn had to look up so far to see his face!

That is the sweetest post. I admit that I cried all thru it! I love all the pictures, what memories!! We'll have to get a picture of Robyn and Ashy "dancing" to keep up with the tradition!
Thanks for being such a great Auntie and being there for my girls. Love you to pieces!!

I am pleased you enjoyed it "Sissy". I had alot of fun doing the post and will remember (ahem) Miss E's as well. What a coincidence, I too thought about having a third installment photo of Ashton and Robyn! Remind me as I tend to forget things-alot! Not sure what I can blame that on after this Friday...
