Today Ashton received a wonderful Christmas gift-she was accepted to the University of Maine at Augusta in the nursing program! She mailed out her applications only two weeks ago and was surprised to hear so quickly! She celebrated by (ahem) buying herself two DVDs, with money I had given to her for errands...Its hard to imagine that this little person I am holding here is now one step closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a registered nurse. We are so very proud of you Tunny! P.S. This is one of my favorite photos, taken when Ashton was six weeks old, by my Aunt Jean.

Mark has certainly been a wonderful addition to Ashton's life as well as the rest of ours, but he has gently encouraged and guided her and for that I am so thankful! Besides, Ashton knows he will open his wallet and give her the car keys...
