Off to New Hampshire!

Mark and I drove to Lincoln NH on Thursday for a two day mini vacation. We have been staying at the same motel, the Kancamagus Motor Lodge, ever since we met nine years ago and took one of our first trips (and adventures) together. We drove over the beautiful Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains to where it ends in Lincoln, NH. The motel that we stay in is literally at the end of the beautiful highway. We decided to take a walk to stretch our legs. We followed a trail for almost two miles and ended up near the base of Loon Mountain. It was a perfect day, in the high 70s with a light breeze. No one was skiing!

When I saw this sign on one of the picnic tables at the river I decided that we best eat in a restaurant! Don't want to take any chances!
I spotted this heart shaped puddle of water on the path as we walked back to the motel.
Found a good sized heart shaped rock on the bank of the river as well. It was a beautiful afternoon to amble along and take it all of the prettiness of Mother Nature. More adventures to follow!

So happy to see that you and Mark had such a wonderful time (how could you not)! It's so pretty there! How fun to have a place you stay in every time you go. It definitely makes it special. I love their indoor pool! You crack me up. Only you would find a heart-shaped puddle that looks pretty. Lucy threw up her food last night (gorge and barf) in an interesting shape, and James said he didn't think you would appreciate it if I took a picture of her heart-shaped throw-up! Anyway, I'm glad you had beautiful weather and such a lovely time!

I know how much you love and appreciate Mark but it truly is a rare experience when couples can have time together that both enjoy. It's wonderful to have that kind of relationship.

Cheryl,

I agree with reana's comments. You are amazing to find a large heart everywhere, even in puddles of water. And, great pics btw.
