The Blue Award

I recently was awarded The Blue Award from TechnoBabe's Adventures.

Here are the questions she gave awardees of the award to answer:

1. What is one thing you do not want to write about in your blog?
Very painful and traumatic family events from the past.
2. If you were able to travel anyplace for a month, where would you want to go?
Back to the Caribbean to explore more islands such as St. Lucia, Barbuda and of course Antigua where Mark and I were married.
3. What is your favorite book reading genre?
Lately I have chosen to read books about the past, books about struggle and adversity and also I love Mary Higgins Clarks books.
4. How old do you have to be to consider yourself really old?
I think I will know it when I get to it! My mom is 79 years old and I don't think she is old....
5. What part of blogging do you enjoy most?
Reading the comments that are left after I post. I always feel "happy" after I read them, there truly are interesting, wonderful, intriguing people out there!
6. If you were looking for a roommate, what is your ideal roomie?
I have the perfect roommate already, my dear husband Mark! He is "Felix" to my "Oscar"!
7. What does the word spiritual mean to you?
What I have been through in my life and taken from it all is spiritual to me. Its a form of tranquility and peacefulness, but I am still learning from lessons daily.
8. How many siblings do you have?
Four
9. Have you ever been in a car accident?
Yes, twice! And neither were my fault!
10. Do you have a pet?
My family has a Jack Russell Terrier/Miniature Pinscher mix. He is the infamous "BuddyTheElf" that I have mentioned more than a few times! He has brought us much fun and he is very good about taking me for walks!
I am not going to pass on the award to anyone in particular as I couldn't begin to choose one, five or ten people out of all the wonderful blogs I read! I'd say all of you readers can have the award!

I enjoyed reading your responses, Cheryl. Although I've known you since Day 1 (or maybe 2), there's always more to learn.

Congrats on getting the award, Cheryl. I don't accept awards anymore --but love reading what people write about themselves..

I also don't write much about my past. My first marriage wasn't good, so all I can think to write about in that 'earlier' life was my wonderful sons from that marriage.

I never felt old either until I started having this knee problem. It has really gotten me down.
Hugs,
Betsy

You have some good answers here, Cheryl. I like that you say your mom is 79 but you don't think she is old. And I am so glad you have the perfect roommate already. Your definition of spiritual is similar to mine.

It's always fun to learn more about our blogging friends.

I would never have guessed you were a person who'd been through a lot of pain and suffering. Bless you.

Congratulations on your award. I enjoyed learning more about you. I have to admit that a month to explore the Caribbean sounds just great.

It was fun reading your response. I particularly like your spiritual answer. Spirituality is hard to put a finger on because it's something that is felt internally and not something that can be easily explained.

We're as old as we think we are or whatever they say. Despite my grown children, in some ways I don't feel much older than they are, but then my body tells me different.

On getting old.. for me it's the time when one gets to have alzheimers, other than that, one is still young! ha ha..

Have a great weekend, Cheryl. Take care!

Next year I am going to hatch a fool proof plan to have three suckling pigs. LOL
Wasn't my Red Riding Hood cute? I had to put a blind on her so she can't see that I am a wolf.

I have been teaching this girl and others and made the hood for them. They love it.

Congrats, Cheryl. Very nice to learn more about you like this. Funny but those stone pillars they show on their award have been seen popping up everywhere around where I live in gardens, by the side of the road, etc. Made me laugh to see them on their logo.

Hi Cheryl, now I know. Love your no. 6, ha ha. Used to love watching that show.
You have fun and keep well, Lee.

Cheryl;

That was so interesting. I love your answer to #6. My best friend and roomate is my hsband Jim.
I am outgoing and he is quietly mysterious.
I think a lot of people(myself included) had pain in their past. It's hard getting past, but we keep trying. I don't write about that very much either. It's the past and I already spent way to much time there.
Congratulations on the award. You deserve it.
Have a great evening.
