I finally have found a few minutes to post the second part of my nieces trip with me to the
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens' Childrens Garden. My last post was the first part of our wonderful day there.

Here is a photo of the Tidely Idely awaiting someone to come row in it. Elizabeth is checking the lobster trap to see if there is anything in it.

The Bear Cave.

The chicken coop was busy!

Nice clean clothes drying naturally!

What appears to be an outhouse.....

is the drying shed for flowers and herbs!

An adorable cottage to make oneself at home in.

I would love to have a greenhouse like this! This is located in the midst of the vegetable gardens.

The archway to the vegetable gardens, the greenhouse and even a sandbox.

There is a pump to use and the children can fill one of the many watering cans sitting on the bench. There are many plants that the children can water even!

This garden was neat....there were Chocolate Cosmos growing as well as other "chocolate colored" plants.

Later on we had to visit the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses, which Elizabeth just loves. I think she had a fun-filled day!

I'd love to have a greenhouse like that one, too. The children's garden looks so neat. I know Violet would have a ton of fun there.
Hi Cheryl,
I loved the two-part tour of the Children's Garden. It looks like there are so many interesting nooks to explore. Our new Children's Garden in Denver is opening this week - I hope it's as wonderful as this one!
This does look like a wonderful place, a place for the child in us all.
Oh, good, more to see of the children's garden. I would love to have a cottage just like that one, and I love the outhouse that's really a shed for dried herbs.
Cheryl, hope all is well with you, Mark and Buddy!
Aunt Jean: Violet would love this place! I have now been twice and look forward to going back again soon! I thought the greenhouse was just the perfect size.
Barb: I am glad you enjoyed the "tour". Will you be attending the grand opening?
Linda Reeder: You are absolutely right, this garden is for the child in all of us and indeed brings the child out, as I can attest!
Lucy the Cat: Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I had as much fun as my nieces did, maybe more! We are doing well here thanks, and hope all is well with you, James and the kitties.
What a great place to visit, I can see why your nieces loved it, I would too. Everything is so perfect...I want to live there!!! Loved the chicken house, outhouse and the greenhouse...well everything!
