I received an award from my blogger friend Dora. Thanks so much Dora! Her blog is one of the very first ones I started to follow and she has the cutest little baby!To accept this award I must:
1. List 7 random things about yourself
2. Share the award with up to 15 other bloggers
3. Link to each of the recipients and let them know they’ve won via comments on their blogs

Okay, here goes:
1. I live on the coast of Maine and really don't care for seafood. Ok, shrimp once in awhile!
2. I love to donate anonymously to someone in need.
3. I was a preacher's kid for many years.
4. I would much rather stay home in my backyard and read instead of going to a fancy event! (I am shy by nature, really!)
5. I want to zip-line through the rainforest-SOON!
6. I can barely get into the bedroom closet in our room, its so full of stuff!
7. I know that if I ever need an encouraging word I could turn to many of my blogger friends and they would be there.
However, I am not going to pick 15 blogger friends as I would rather pass this on to anyone who would like to accept it. Enjoy.

Congratulations, Cheryl. I can't help you zip line through the rain forest anytime soon but how about at a place called MONKEY C MONKEY DO which is right here in Maine. Look at it online, it's cool.......I want to get my grandsons over there before the oldest one goes back to Massachusetts in a few weeks.
zip line through a rain forest-that's a new one for anyone's bucket list. lol!
my daughter got to do that in Costa Rica on her senior trip...she loved it...me I would rather watch....it's fun learning new things about our blogging friends....

Amazing that you do not care for seafood. I on the other hand live in the middle of the country and I truly love seafood. You are a sweet person to care about other people and share in your abundance. Hugs to you for your kind nature. Yay, we are alike in wanting to stay home and read.

Ha ha, tell me which woman's bedroom closet is not full of stuff.
I practically have to wear a safety helmet, bullet proof jacket, take out life insurance opening my wife's cupboard....I always dread her asking me to get something for her.
Its going into harm's way, or tour of duty...pity they don't give out Purple hearts for being wounded or hurt by designer brand stuffs, ha ha.

I always enjoy reading lists like these that people write about themselves. It's such a great window into learning more about a person.
I'm not much for big events either, and do love spending time at home.
I don't think I'll put zip lining on my list, but I did have an amazing cable car ride up to a mountain top in Austria during a thunder storm. And taking a helicopter ride in Alaska, skimming over mountain tops and landing on a glacier rated right up there.
Congrats on your award! I loved reading more tidbits about you. I definitely see your generous side. I'm right with you on number 4! Yes, I hope that my words would be encouraging, but I would be there for sure. :)

The fact that you live in Maine and don't like seafood is funny Cheryl. I have often said that I wished we had a zip-line from our hillside to my son's hillside. I hope you get to experience that in the rainforest 'soon'!
Congratulations, Cheryl. You know... I am also shy and introverted by nature and I have to force myself to be more outgoing. It's been a battle all my life. I feel like I have so much in common with you. I'm the granddaughter of a priest. Ummm... wait... I'm not so sure I'm as adventurous as you zip-lining through the rainforest. I'll leave that to you. :-)

It's Sunday! I'm delighted to be on line with my Verizon connection so I can load blog pages again. I have been out to sea where I only had a very, very slow satellite connection that times out before pages will load.

Congratulation on receiving this award. I totally agree about staying home in my own backyard versus going out someplace fancy. But I do like fish and shrimp, have never eaten lobster. Don't like oysters.
Getting into zip line seems tremendously exciting. I've long wished to do that too Oh my, you're not fond of sea foods?! Just send it my way cos I really love them! ha ha..!
