I have become "one of them". Yup, I am on a cell phone. So what you say, well look at me, I am wearing a Mad Bomber hat, outside in the snow and its snowing! I do not like cell phones but have to admit to having one. I only have one as my two younger children once needed good ole Mom to have a cell phone plan so that THEY could have cell phones. I must say though, in their defense, they are responsible for their bills and pay them. I do not know how to text, can barely figure out how to answer the darn thing and can't figure out how to take a photo with it. Anyhow, I do alot of hiking on trails and during the winter snowshoe almost every day. My oldest son Courtney finally convinced me to carry the phone "in case of an emergency". I know what he means, something to the effect "I've fallen and can't get up". This afternoon Mark and I were snowshoeing way out in the willy-wacks and lo and behold, the phone rang. It was a call regarding surgery that Ashton will have next Friday. I just had to document this moment during a snowfall, wearing snowshoes, way out in the wilds. The kicker though was that I dropped the cell into the SNOW! Now I know what a dropped call is :)

I love your mad bomber hat - I have one too, but I never get to wear mine anymore!!
I hope that the upcoming surgery isn't serious, and that all is well! Keep us posted, please.
Love the photo, Cheryl! Ken has a hat just like this. I call it his Rocky and Bullwinkle hat.
You're wise to carry your cell phone while out snowshoeing. I, too, can't seem to get excited over cell phone use, but I need to carry one when out on my snow shoes or skis.
Glad you've finally got in the habit to carry it, now keep it ON! LOL We went skating for 2hrs today, I need to get one of the mad bomber hats, maybe in bright pink like Tiz's!
Margaret- I found this hat at LLBean's several weeks ago,it seemed that it was waiting just for me, as it was the only Mad Bomber hat there! All of my kids have had them but after seeing Tiz's I had to have one, only wished I had one the same color as hers.
You look adorable and I hope Ashton is OK and that the cellphone survived. I'm not too great with cellphones either. My daughter and son are forever laughing at me about it.
