Almost ten years of wedded bliss

On March 5th Mark and I will celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. Five years ago we went to Jamaica to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and to renew our wedding vows. It was nice to arrive at our room at Sandals Royal Caribbean and find this bow on the door...."Welcome Home Mr. & Mrs. Lorrain". This was our second trip to Jamaica, having taken Benjamin and Ashton on a family vacation in 2004 to Beaches in Boscobel and we were married at Sandals in Antigua. We had eight wonderful days enjoying the beach and sun and just plain relaxing.This was the view from our room. Every morning the beach is completely swept and the chairs are lined up in pefect rows.I took this photo from Sandal's private island looking towards the main buildings of the resort. The island was beautiful, lots of flowers everywhere and soft white sand. We spent almost an entire day on the little island. There were plenty of tropical drinks available and a wonderful restaurant as well. The yellow boat pictured here is the shuttle boat to the little island. This is one of my favorite photos, colorful kayaks and the shuttle boat, against a background of a beautiful blue sky and the gorgeous water. We renewed our wedding vows on a pretty little beach on the far end of the Sandals property. The minister was delightful, he made the ceremony both fun and meaningful. Every little detail was taken care of...all we had to do was show up on time! There was a beautiful and delicious wedding cake and champagne to sip in the shade after the ceremony.The photographer caught lots of special moments for us but this one makes me smile, even after 5 years! I will post more photos from our trip in another post, viewing these photos helps take away the winter blues!
