Merry Christmas!

I am posting a few photos of hearts I have spotted lately....the photo above is of a pine cone I found on the trail and it has a tiny, tiny heart on the right hand side of it. Can you spot the heart on the birch tree? A week or so ago I dropped my prescription glasses on the trail. I had walked further than the daily walk the dogs and I take, trying to get in more exercise. Somehow I managed to drop Java Bean's leash and off he went...I thought my glasses were long gone when I discovered I had dropped them during the Great Doggy Chase! And Java Bean didn't get very far and is safe and sound. I spent four more days going over where I thought the glasses might have fallen, Mark spent one day looking as well. Finally on the fifth trip through the woods I found the glassses, lying in the mud on the trail! But walking further and further each day has made me want to walk a bit more so good came out of losing my glasses! From now on I will keep them in my zippered pocket, not on top of my head as usual....We have had a couple of very small snowstorms, no more than an inch at the most. The berries along a portion of the trail are just beautiful this year, there are bushes and bushes everywhere showing off their beautiful color. The snow adds a nice touch I think. The dogs and I always stop by a small pond and when the weather is warmer Buddy likes to grab sticks from the brook. This time of year I like to stop and watch the brook flow along...I just snapped the bubbles "for the fun of it".And of course a heart appeared after the first snow....This tiny tree reminds me of a snowflake...I just love this snowflake tree! One frosty morning I spotted this heart on the ground....Another snow heart on a small tree....This heart from a tree stump is awesome!
Christmas Eve I will have all three of my children here along with their significant others and of course my mom and Mark. We will have our Christmas together and I am beside myself with happiness! We have a busy Christmas day with Mark's family in the morning, a late afternoon gathering at my sister's home and dinner with family friends...definitely can see a diet in my future! I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to all!

You should publish a booklet with pictures on all your heart-finds. It could be quite interesting.

The pond, the trees and bushes, the berries and the snow - just seeing all these little wonders of nature, makes one feel better, fresher, and at one with Nature.

Merry Christmas!

Continuing to walk a little longer and farther is a great plan. You inspire me to get out there and walk now too. The snow is pretty much melted here and that means it is not slippery, so getting out there and walking is something I can do too. Your holiday plans sound like they will bring you joy and lots of love. I am happy for you and look forward to hearing all about it after the holidays.

Merry Christmas to you - I hope your time with your family is a treasure for you.

P.S. Your snow heart from last year was featured on this week's Guest Heart Thursday! Thank you!

Cheryl, these are lovely picture as always. It's so beautiful there this time of year!

Thank goodness you found your glasses! I'm always misplacing mine and I rely on them so much. I finally going to give in and get a "granny string" for them so at least they'll be around my neck. I'm also glad Java Bean didn't get lost! Phew!

I love the color of those berries! The snowflake tree is just perfect. It sounds like you'll have a wonderful Christmas with all your family. Enjoy!
