A beautiful fall season

This is the beautiful scene outside my bedroom window yesterday morning. I am so very fortunate to live where I do. This photo is of Wildcat Creek which is tidal and was so still yesterday at the time I snapped the photo. The tree with its rich color is usually the last one to change in the fall and it is always stunning.I snapped this photo while out with Java Bean in the morning. My sister-in-law suggested I change it to black and white to highlight the mist that was rising from a big stump near the feeders. I took the photo originally to capture the spider webs draped across the feeders. Later on in the day I snapped a photo of the same brook, but with gentle rippling of the water. I love reflection photos! This birch tree has managed to survive its precarious position for several years and the little pond was so still so of course I snapped away. It is hard to hold two dog leashes and take photos but I am learning how to manage both! The boys are usually pretty good about "sitting" when I am using my camera. However, like children they are only good for sitting for a very, very short time!A neat bark heart. This solitary leaf hanging on with its heart.A shot of the pond so very, very still. The sky was so gorgeous and it was just as beautiful in the reflection. I seem to be on a reflection craze right now.Now its time to put the kayak paddles and canoe paddles away...no more trips on the water until next spring!

You do live in such a scenic place, Cheryl. Your fall color and the little pond are perfect. AND - you found those hearts, so I'm not disappointed.

Cheryl,
It's just breathtaking there! I'm so envious! Your reflection shots are great. You need to post on Weekend Reflections!

As always, your hearts-in-nature are such lovely finds. I'm impressed you take those pictures while holding on to two doggies!

What a superb composition in the bove pictures!

All the elements (the pond, the leaves, the reflections, the heart, the colors) combine together to give us a great autumn show.

This is peak week in Arkansas, especially a national byway known a Highway 9. I am sure traffic will be moderately heavy this weekend.

I am going to try for a few photos. I noticed driving home form a volunteer job we had probably all the color we will get this year, after an entirely too wet spring and and all dry hot summer.

Cheryl, these are absolutely stunning fall photos! I hope the weather is mild for you and the colors stay awhile.

I wish that the "fall season" is available here in the Philippines. It's really boring to only have two seasons namely "dry season" and "wet season"

I don't know how I missed this when you posted it, but I'm glad I finally saw all of your marvelous photos. I'm glad you're in a reflections mood. The ones you captured at the brook are simply stunning.

Hi Cheryl, how you doin'? I sure love your very creative photography, like looking at National Geographic.
And those 'reflections' pics are simply stunning! Outstanding.

As usual, you have seen, and captured scenes most people would miss or just glance, but your photographs not only brings out the refreshing beauty, but pause of moments to reflect for us.

I love the 3rd pic of the 'reflections'.
You have fun, Cherly, hoping this finds you in top health, keep a song in your heart.
Lee.
ps, feel like having a smile, drop by, *wink*.
