Its day two of vacation...and off to see alligators!!

Day two of our vacation began very early.  We were on a mission....or rather, Ashton was on a mission!  We MUST go see where the tv show "Gator Boys" is filmed and have an airboat ride.  Then we could go on to Miami Beach...We arrived at Everglades Holiday Park.  The only excited person in the car at this point was Ashton...I had no desire whatsoever to see alligators and to take an airboat tour!  What if the boat sank?  I can't swim that well....I can just wait for you to have your airboat ride....
Soon I found myself climbing aboard an airboat...where were the lifejackets??  And the seatbelts??  Does anyone know where the three of us are??
We saw an alligator or two....

A heart-shaped waterlily pad spotted by Mark.
After the boat ride we watched the Gator Boys show featuring some of the rescued gators.  Ashton and Mark were thrilled to hold baby alligators.  I just took photos....
I am very glad that I went on the airboat tour...we all had a great time and it was a nice way to spend a dreary day.  Trey, our guide was great and made the trip interesting.  Evidently the fresh air and alligators wore out Ashton.  Now off to Miami Beach!

I guess everyone who goes to Florida needs to see a 'gator, but hold one??? No thanks! I'm eager to read your next installment.

This looks like such a fun excursion. I'd want to do the ride too, but I'd also be a little bit worried.

I think I would be content to take pictures of the alligators rather than hold them myself. But I'm glad you had a great day.

I hesitantly went on an air boat tour also and wound up loving it. We did not see any alligators, but the rest of nature was wonderful! So glad you had a great time. Vacations are such fun!

I was on an airboat ride and we went under a bridge and a snake fell in the boat off the side of the bridge. They flipped it out but I still pissed my pants. Well Miami Beach is Beautiful. I lived there for 13 years. I lived on Palm Island and I could see all the Cruise ships from the back
of the house. Take a ride on the islands..Star and Palm, Famous
people built the homes..yvonne

Alligators! I hope no one was hurt when you witnessed these villains during your tour. :p

It must be a refreshing change to get out of our diurnal routine with one's family. Thanks for sharing these photos :D Take care!

Ashton is a great vacation planner - perhaps a budding tour guide? I have to smile at her enthusiasm!

You just cannot miss to look for "heart" whereever you go.

Your Ashton "steals the show" in the pictures. She's lovely!!
Anyway, Ashton and Mark holding the baby alligators are great captures!

It's always a thrill to be out on vacation with family. It's indeed exciting to see gators but definitely not to touch let alone hold it up on your hands. Oh my! Ashton is so brave!

Evidently, you had a great time! Thanks for sharing those fun moments you had.

Have a fabulous weekend Cheryl!
