There has been more than enough snow here in Maine this winter for snowshoeing. BuddyTheElf and I try to get out and about almost every afternoon.

A beautiful winter's sunset reflected off a heart-shaped cloud one afternoon and sent me running for my camera.

I discovered this tiny little heart when I was going to remove my snowshoes. There it was, just waiting to be discovered.

I found this mossy heart in the woods behind my house. The green of the moss was so pretty in the white snow.

BuddyTheElf made me a heart with his pawprint!

I snowshoed around the marsh behind my home this afternoon and walked along side the brook. I found a bubble heart in the ice.

I love this heart within the leaf. Mother Nature gave me two gifts in one, a pretty leaf preserved in the ice with a little heart on it.

I was delighted to spot this ice heart from a window this afternoon. It was a fitting end to the day.

One of my favorite hearts of this winter is this one, nestled up against the side of a little bridge I can see from my front windows. The ice has been thick in the brook this winter and with the tide coming in and going out, a lot of chunks of ice get wedged against the banks. I think the tide left this heart for me.

Today's walk produced this heart...a bent-over plant in the snow with its shadow helping make it into a "heart". I just love this one!

Wow, wow, wow!!!
This is an awesome post. Love all of them. But that bent-over plant heart took my heart.
Thank you so much for sharing!
You find the most unique hearts, Cheryl. Whenever I see one in Nature, I think of you and Wanda.
You and Wanda both had hearty posts today.
Sometimes I look at your pics and think "what heart?", but then I look again and oh, yes, I see it too.
You really do have an eye for hearts, like Barb everytime I see one I think of you and Wanda. Hope you are well my friend...:-)Hugs
you are so good at finding hearts...lol!
I love the pink in that sunset that's just in the clouds!
The little tiny heart is so precious, and the mossy heart is amazing. Well, I love them all. That last one is a fun one.
It's so beautiful there, Cheryl. I admire that you get out every day. I find myself staying in a lot more when it's colder.
Hi Cheryl.. you do not cease to amaze me with your heart finds!!
I think you are a magnet to them!!
The one with the branch in snow and shadow is a great find!!
Lovely!!
The mossy heart is telling me that spring is not so far away now.
Hello Cheryl, glad you have survived this winter and enjoyed it as well. Grandsons are here for school vacation and I'm having a blast.
Hi Cheryl, Holy Smoke! You are fantastic. You see things others don't even notice.
Love the last pic...cleaver shot too.
Hey, make sure when walking looking down for hearts you don't walk into a branch or tree, ha ha.
Have fun and keep well. Best regards, Lee.
ps I have forgotten what is the colour of grass! Had snow since X'mas, and today was chilly, -23'c!
My car looked like made of glass, ha ha.
It's amazing to find many "hearts" around in the nature!
I'm sorry Cheryl for not dropping-by for loooong ;-) I'm back now!

Your background is beautiful. I looks 3 dimensional on my monitor!
I was looking at your list of favorite books and so many of those are my favorites too. I will have to read the few on your list that I haven't read.
Its amazing how many you saw when you went looking--they are everywhere!
Hi all, thanks for your nice comments. I try to get outside every day, winter or not, and I think finding hearts is a wonderful reward for going out in the cold and ice! We still have two feet plus of snow on the ground and today we are experiencing sleet, freezing rain and snow! A good day to catch up on all of your blogs, sorry I haven't been around as much but am getting back to myself and will be around more often. Take care!
it is amazing how many hearts can be found when you are looking...
So creative are your hearts of love.. still snowy around your area?
