Our granddog Bode recently spent a few days with us. What a sweet houseguest/dog he is!

At seven months old he is a delight and so well behaved. As soon as he arrived here he headed over to a basket that holds Buddy's "toys". It was as if he remembered all the toys from his visit in November. This photo was taken while Bode had a nap. He usually lays across my feet when he takes a nap or up against the couch where I am sitting. As Ashton said, here he looked as if he neatly arranged himself before falling asleep!

This photo makes me smile, all I can think of is a small child looking out the window! He was watching Mark and Buddy outside.

We took several walks around the marsh and brook with both of the "boys". Buddy is used to taking long walks/snowshoe trips with us almost every day and Bode loved the long walks. He is a "city dog" and had a grand old time out here in the country. He loves the snow and once in awhile would find a stick and then happily carry it around as if it were a trophy!

Gracious, Bode has doubled in size since the last picture I saw of him. He appears to be a wonderful dog and I especially enjoyed the pictures of him looking out the window.
what a cute granddog...love the photo of him at the window...too cute...
How very darling! I love the image at the window.
Hey Cheryl, you have really been getting out and enjoying the snow......what'll we ever do when it's gone? (just kidding)
I now what I'm going to do.
He's a cutie! Gosh! How much I missed having a dog around!
Your kitchen is lovely, Cheryl!
Sounds like you all had a great time with Bode... He must be a really good dog... Sometimes the young ones are only into chewing and destroying things... Obviously, Bode is not like that.
Great pictures...Looks like you still have quite a bit of snow up there... We have had HUGE rainstorms today...
Hugs,
Betsy
looks like fun...
Life is so good with a pet around.
what a great bunch of pics, and I ADORE YOUR dog and grandog :)
The pictures with Bode looking out of the window are priceless.
You look lovely with the two dogs on the snowy ground!
Keep on enjoying yourself outdoors!
It looks as if you had a great visit with Bode. He looks as if adjusted to country life very well for a city dog. The pictures of him looking out the window are precious.
Hi Cheryl.. The City Mouse visits the Country Mouse ..do you remember that little story !!
Such a cute post, and Bode's is a cute dog!
It does look like he enjoyed and you all enjoyed having him visit!!
The looking out the window picture is so darn cute ♥
He is such a pretty boy!!!
Oh that pic, he really looks like a kid staring out the window! I'm sure Buddy will miss Bode when Bode back to his own home :-)
Dora
Bode looks like a giant stuffed animal. He sure is adorable! I hope Buddy and Bode can be friends soon.
It sounds like Bode has a sweet nature. Glad you enjoyed his visit with you and you got some great pictures to show us.
I always love Bode's disheveled, devil-may- care appearance. He's got life by the tail, really. And he's fortunate to have devoted grand puppy parents.
Bode sounds like an awesome dog, very nice pictures, the snow looks so pretty:)
Hi Cheryl, love the pics. And that pic of Bode standing up looking out the window....
Gosh, you must have been like Clint Eastwood grabbing your camera instead of a SW .44 Magnum....and took that shot!
Cheryl, like I always say, others take pictures.
You don't. You create pictures, just like an artist or a vogue designer.
Incidentally, I love your kitchen check curtains. I've always loved checks and tartans.
Our kitchen table has a check red and white table cloth. Reminds me of Italian restaurants and 'O sole mio'.
And your home is so clean and tidy....that kitchen floor looks good enough to dance the Blue Danube or do a Tango, ha ha.
Love the snow pics....and Bode's name.
I used to have dogs long ago, but more as trained guard dogs, and except for 2 German Shepherds, Others were Dobermans I'd order from Germany.
And I only had 4 names for my dogs, right! You guessed it....
'Whisky, Brandy, Gin and Jack'. Jack Daniels too long, ha ha. I love playing poker....but I guess that would not sound good on a trained Doberman guard dog.
You have a pleasant week, Cheryl and keep a song in your heart. Best regards,
Lee.
He looks like he would be so soft and fluffy. What kind of dog is he? I know what you mean about getting around to your favorite blogs, I just can't seem to get it all done in a day like I use to. I've got some that's been several weeks since I visited. I'm sure yours is probably one of them. Sorry about that. I do try to stay caught up on things with FB.
Bode sure is a beautiful dog. I love his lovely colored coat. Sounds as though he's having a lot of fun at your house and taking walks. I hope Buddy and he get along well. Great posting.
Your dog is gorgeous! Love him! And Bode is such a great name. Love that 4th photo of him especially, gazing out the window. Almost as if he's looking to see if his owners have just got home, although you're there already taking that photo haha. You've got lots of snow where you are! Wish it was still snowing this heavily here. I laughed when I read "granddog" haha. That's too funny, never heard anybody use that word before lol.
Hi Cheryl, I don't know how I missed this post. Bode has grown so much! I saw a Golden-Doodle on my walk in the city yesterday - he had a "smile" on his face. They seem to have such personality! I see you still had snow in Feb. Hopefully, some has melted since your last post!
Cheryl, how are you?
Love the photo of Bode looking out the window! So cute!
BODE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Hi Cheryl! I thought for a while I was on a wrong blog site. Beautiful new template!
And Bode's so cute like a young boy looking out the window.
Nice shots as always!
